Apple iMovie
Apple iMovie is the name of a video editing software that allows users to edit their own videos on their home computers or directly on the camera. It has been available since 1999 to Apple and Mac users. Since the release of version 3, iMovie has been the only Mac OS X application that is available as a bundle in the iLife suite of Macintosh applications. The Firewire interface makes it possible for iMovie to import video footage on most digital video movie cameras. Then the user can edit clips, and add titles and/or music. They can also make corrections to the colour and use transitions such as fade in and fade out.
There are four versions of Apple iMovie – iMovie 4, iMovie HD 5, iMovie HD 6 and iMovie’08. Although each of these has distinct features there are similarities in all of them.
